Are you as sad as we are that #Apple’s #Silo season 2 just ended? Apple seems to get that and has apparently shared a 24-minute set walkthrough for all of us to enjoy (and to ramp up our anxiety of having to wait for seasons 3 and 4). #TV #scifi 9to5mac.com/2025/01/2…
Mickey 17 is my most anticipated #scifi movie in some time, and the latest trailer only confirms that I am right to be excited for Bong Joon Ho’s (The Host, Mother, Snowpiercer, Parasite) latest future masterpiece. #movies www.youtube.com/watch
Things you can do instead of watching America being peacefully handed over to a criminal - Inauguration Special 2025
Don’t watch the news today since all they’ll be talking about is how great and normal it is to just hand an entire country over to a criminal in the name of a democracy that’s been utterly broken and shreaded. If that leaves you unsure of what to do instead, here are some suggestions:
And if you must watch TV, then allow me to suggest one of the single most joyful and affirming shows ever made;l Netflix’s Somebody Feed Phil. You will not regret it. Well, you’ll regret having trouble eating the food Phil eats, unless you live in one of the cities he’s covered.
Feel free to submit your own lists of things to do other than watch the news today. #animation #comics #manga #film #movies #linux #music #retrocomputing #humanrights #civilrights #scifi #tech #videogames #writing
I suggest you just #read the #books. Don’t bother with the series. #Apple spent a tanker-full of money to make a terrible non-adaptation. They took some ideas, mixed it all up, cut out a bunch, and invented a lot of new crap that superficially resembles #IsaacAsimov’s seminal #scifi works. www.polygon.com/sci-fi/50…
Aw, hell yeah! Just came across this in my recommendations and I’m going to support Stan and the his dream of making Orbital Search & Rescue a thing! Incidentally, I’ve also started watching Pantheon, which he worked on, and it’s fantastic and dark. It’s streaming on Netflix now. He also worked on Venture Bros., which is a blast!
Give OSR a watch and tell me you don’t think it looks cool and I’ll be sad. #animation #scifi #firstresponders #respect #youtube www.youtube.com/watch
When I first saw the headline, I was confused about what #film they could be teasing (click-baiting?), but of course it’s 2002’s Equilibrium. I have this in my DVD library and have watched it at least a dozen times. It’s like a mashup of concepts from Fahrenheit 451, 1984, and Brave New World blended with a unique take on kung fu with guns. It’s well worth a watch, if you haven’t seen it already. #scifi #movies #gunkata www.slashfilm.com/1718512/c…
